The Vulnerable Children’s Ministry
Presents a
Workshop
“Practical
Ways to Engage Placing Parents”
Wednesday, April 22,
2015
Willow Creek
Community Church
67 E. Algonquin Road,
So. Barrington, IL
(Room B106 near the
chapel)
Learn how small but significant changes in
the way you interact with the parents of the children you are caring for can
help to protect kids and strengthen families. We will be exploring the Five
Protective Factors from The Strengthening
Families evidenced based movement.
Strengthening and supporting the
parent's protective factors will help them to be the best they can for their
children. This will be a practical
workshop to equip you with information, activities, and ideas you can use
as you are walking along side another family who desperately needs your
hospitality, compassion, and support.
Workshop will be conducted by Joyce Moffitt, SFFC Area Coordinator and Master DCFS trainer and Anita Hughes, SFFC Rockford Area
Coordinator, SF Host and Adoptive mother.
6:00 Dinner together (Atrium)
7:00 Worship service (Lakeside Auditorium)
7:30 Workshop (room B106)
