Do
you find yourself struggling to connect with your child? Are you
saying, "no" more than you are saying, "yes?" This group will focus on
maintaining TBRI ® skills learned at our workshops, but is open to any
parent even if they haven't yet attended the TBRI ® workshops.
Parenting
is tough no matter what, but when you are a parent to a child who comes
from a difficult background, you can feel completely alone and
helpless. Learning from and getting support from a professional as well
as your peers can be extremely comforting.
This
group will be led by Pam Shepard, LCSW, Supervisor of Post Adoption
Services. Pam has been trained in TBRI ® and will provide parents with
techniques and strategies that are trust based and built on connection.
The cost is $20 per person and we will meet once a month on the third Wednesday of each month at our Bolingbrook office.
This group starts on January 21st, 2015 from 6:30PM to 8:00PM.
