Adoptive Family Camp Featuring TBRI!

Journey of Hope
Adoptive Family Camp - Apply by March 31st!
This summer, Holt-Sunny Ridge will be hosting our first Journey of Hope summer camp for domestic and international adoptees and their families.
This three-day camp is designed around the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® parenting curriculum for adoptees and their families. Even years after their adoption, some children may struggle with behavior regulation, attachment and social skills. This camp will equip families with tools and strategies they can use to help their child learn self-regulation skills and deepen family attachment. Parents will also receive specialized TBRI training.

Other activities include fun sensory games, art and equine therapy.
When: Friday, June 23 – Sunday, June 25, 2017 | 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Where: The Ranch of Hope Reins Equine Camp in Hampshire, IL
Cost: $350 per family or $450 for a family with more than one child

Requirements to Attend:
  1. Attending families must have both parents attend all 3 days
  2. For families who want to register siblings, both children must meet the requirements. If one does not, then childcare arrangements will need to be made for the sibling that is not eligible.

Tween Support Group!

New Tween Group!
We are dedicated to supporting our Holt-Sunny Ridge families for life — through every age and stage. And recently, we’ve heard a lot of you ask for a program especially for your tween-aged kids…

So we are very excited to announce a brand new Tween Adoptee Group at Holt-Sunny Ridge!

Starting on December 13, we invite all 11 to 14-year-olds to come together for a fun, interactive time that focuses on building self worth. The group will be led by Carly Schrimpl, LCSW, and will take place from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at our office in Bolingbrook the second Tuesday of each month. While tweens meet, parents can also meet together at our office.

Click here to register for the first Tween Adoptee Group on December 13! The cost is $20 per child, and space is limited.

If you have any questions, please contact Pam Shepard, Supervisor of Clinical Services, at pams@holtsunnyridge.org or 630-754-4523.
We hope to see you there!
