Summer Camp for Adoptive Families

The Celebration of Nations: Adoptive Family Weekend started out with one goal in mind—to create a fun and exciting experience for adoptive families from all backgrounds to come together and socialize. This goal has been realized and the 3 day event has become possible with the collaborative planning and efforts of various adoption related organizations, including the YMCA Camp Minikani and Bridge Communications, Inc.

Heading the organization of the camp is Erik Kennedy, Carmen Knight, and Elijah Fyksen (see bios). Each, with their own unique background and story, wanted to create an experience for adoptive families, by adoptive families, to ultimately help build and strengthen the adoptive family network and community.
