Bridge Builders Training

You are invited to attend "Bridge Builders" Training.

Bridge Builders: The basics of biblical wisdom around race, poverty and the gospel.

Too often our engagement with the world of the inner-city is through writing a check or saying a silent prayer for someone far away in distress. Opening our lives and homes to those in crisis raises many important questions.

In this 3 part series, we will look carefully at the reasons why "God's heart is for the poor" (PS 113), how we as believers can understand poverty in it's broader context of creation and the kingdom of God, and how we can respond effectively to the needs of individuals and families in crisis.

This training is especially valuable if you are crossing cultures as a Safe Family, DCFS foster family or an adoptive family with an open adoption.
