These workshops are video-driven, and facilitated by Alison Lamsma, MA, LSW from Bethany Christian Services.
Empowering, Connecting, & Correcting: Dr. Karyn Purvis explains her research-based approach with children who come from "hard places." She explains how harm during critical stages of brain growth causes significant disruptions in a child's development & behaviors. Through research and years of experience, Dr. Purvis offers a path of healing through a trust-based, relationship-based holistic approach.

Join us all year long for Empowered to Connect workshops, every 4th Wednesday of the month!
These workshops are video-driven, and facilitated by Alison Lamsma, MA, LSW from Bethany Christian Services.
Solutions to Fear: Tragically, children who have been harmed,neglected, and/or abused are at significantly increased risk for behavioral disorders, relationship failures, and early onset mental illness. Developmental psychologist and former director of the TCU Institute of Child Development, Dr. Karyn Purvis, explains concepts to help caregivers and parents understand a child's brain chemistry and how neurotransmitter testing can be used to enhance therapeutic approaches.

develop the social and emotional skills they need to succeed in life. Playful
Interaction, featuring child development experts, outlines the importance of
play and provides practical examples of playful interaction from The
Institute of Child Development’s Hope Connection Summer Camp.
